The ARC 2025 goes from Gran Canaria to St Lucia in the West Indies, covering 2,700 nautical miles. Approximately 200 boats with families, good friends, and ambitious racers compete across the Atlantic. A key part of the event is the camaraderie and friendships that sailors build during the weeks leading up to the race, through preparations, seminars, and boat inspections. This sense of community often continues during the adventure at sea, with communication over the radio.

This will be the fourth time Celeste participates in the ARC. We crossed the Atlantic with ARC in 2017, 2023 and 2024. We will leave St Lucia and sail to Guadeloupe on December 14th. You can disembark anytime from the arrival in St. Lucia, which will likely be around December 8. You are most welcome to stay on board and also sail with us to Guadeloupe. You need to disembark no later than December 17 in Guadeloupe.

During ARC 2023 we sailed 8 days and nights in a row with the spinnaker set

Sailing across the Atlantic requires extensive preparation, and there’s usually a lot to handle before departure, from grocery shopping to final boat preparations.

The team prepares as much as they can during the service period before your arrival. They also take the lead in planning and purchasing food.

As a crew member, you’ll participate according to your ability in all activities on board, including planning, cooking, keeping the boat tidy, navigation, sail trimming, and steering the boat. We sail in watch teams, where you are on watch for three hours and off watch for three hours.
