This journey combines true offshore sailing across the Bay of Biscay with relaxed coastal sailing, including several stops along the Atlantic coast, before finishing in Cowes on the Isle of Wight, just south of Southampton, UK.
We gather onboard on July 2nd to get to know each other, begin provisioning, and enjoy a relaxed dinner ashore in the evening. On July 3rd, we complete the final preparations and, following a full safety briefing, set sail from Lagos.

Our course takes us past the southwestern tip of continental Europe before turning north.
The route combines coastal sailing with carefully chosen stops along the Portuguese and Spanish coasts. Potential ports of call include Cascais, Figueira da Foz, Porto, Baiona, and Illa de Monteagudo. At each stop, there is time to explore the local surroundings and enjoy the excellent regional cuisine. The final itinerary is planned together as a crew and always adapted to prevailing weather conditions.

We make landfall in La Coruña, where we prepare for the iconic Bay of Biscay crossing—a passage well known among sailors. After time ashore to explore the city, we head offshore for several days of open-water sailing
Before reaching our final destination of Cowes on the Isle of Wight, we may make an additional stop along the English or French coast, or possibly in the Channel Islands, depending on conditions.
Upon arrival in Cowes, the Admiral’s Cup will be in full swing and preparations for the Fastnet Race well underway. This is a unique opportunity to experience one of the world’s great sailing hubs at its very best, with some of the most impressive racing yachts on the planet—often exceeding 100 feet—gathered in the Solent.
Cowes is a true sailing capital and well worth exploring for several days, both on and off the water.
Celeste will also take part in the Fastnet Race 2027, offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sail this iconic offshore race. If this excites you, be sure to explore the Fastnet Race leg as well.
Airport for Lagos: Faro International Airport, Portugal
