Sailing with S/Y Celeste of Solent 2025-2026

The terms and conditions outlined below are published on our website and must be confirmed as part of the crew form. Acceptance of these terms and conditions is a prerequisite for being accepted as crew and/or participant on a sailing arrangement with Farr65r Celest of Solent.

Payment Terms (Deposit / Booking fee)
Crew booking is officially reserved against payment of a booking fee (deposit) which is 30% of the total fee. The booking fee will be invoiced separately if duration to trip departure exceeds 90 days at the time of booking, otherwise the full amount will be invoiced and count as the deposit.

The full and final balance must be paid prior to departure, or we reserve the right to deny participation without any right to a refund of the deposit or other fees paid.
Invoice for final balance is issued between 90 – 180 days prior the departure, depending on the duration of the booked trip and booking situation – see further our cancellation policy below.

Late payment of invoices is subject to charges as indicated on the invoice together with issue and due dates.

Cancellation Policy
No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than 90 days before departure, regardless of the duration of the booked trip.

Booked Trip concerns 25 days or less:
If cancelled more than 180 days before departure, the booking fee (deposit) is refunded. Cancellation between 180 and 90 days before departure results in a 50% refund of the booking fee (deposit).

We reserve the right to collect any issued and unpaid invoices if cancellation is within 90 days of departure.

Booked Trip exceeds 25 days:
No right to refund after payment of booking fee (deposit). We reserve the right to collect any issued and unpaid invoices if cancellation is within 180 days of departure. Can we rebook the passage, a goodwill arrangement of our discretion may arise, the right to participate on similar alternative later leg / route.

What is included and not included in the fee
The fee includes:
– A berth as participating crew, harbor fees, and fuel.
– Experienced Master of Yacht certified skipper.
– Insurance for the vessel, rig and sails.
– Safety equipment for use aboard, as applicable to the situation (e.g., life jackets, harnesses, PLB).

Please note that on longer crossings the berth is not personal and is shared between watches while sailing.

The fee does not include:
– Beverage and food costs are not included and is shared among all on board.
– Cost of travel to/from the vessel at start, at end or during trip, is not covered in any form.
– Any cost related to delayed flight or incomplete flight is fully outside the fee and our responsibility.

Passport, Travel Visa
Crew are responsible for having an up-to-date passport (valid for 6 months past your travel dates), appropriate visas for countries you are visiting (and transferring through), and relevant vaccines.

Assumption of risk / Disclaimer
By paying the booking fee (deposit) and checking the box in the crew form, the participant waives
all claims against owner of Farr65r Celeste of Solent, broker, captain or crew for injury, accident,
illness, or death during or as a result of their participation in a trip planned with Farr65r Celeste
of Solent.

I acknowledge that I am aware that during the passage, certain risks and dangers may arise,
including but not limited to, the hazards of traveling on the open sea, falling overboard, storms,
high winds, collision of vessels, shipwreck, travel ashore in remote terrain, forces of nature, and
accident or illness in remote regions without means of rapid evacuation or medical facilities.

I also acknowledge that I am aware that sailing a vessel from a safety point of view can affect the
start and/or end date of the trip/route and that the planned route in full can be changed according
to weather conditions. This can also arise from any other conditions outside the control of the
owner of Farr65r Celeste of Solent, broker, captain or crew. Therefor extra costs (for such as flight
alteration in time and/or location) are not claimable.

I also understand that owner of Farr65r Celeste of Solent, broker, captain or crew have no liability
regarding the provision of medical care, or the adequacy of any care rendered. I agree to abide
the rules onboard or ashore, for the duration of the trip, which are important for the safety,
security and wellbeing of the vessel and people onboard.

In consideration of my agreement to participate in this leg/route, I hereby assume all risk and will
not make any claims against owner of Farr65r Celeste of Solent, broker, captain or crew or sue
for bodily injury, emotional trauma, death, and/or property damage resulting from negligence,
unseaworthiness, or other causes during my participation. I release, indemnify, and discharge
owner of Farr65r Celeste of Solent, broker, captain or crew from all claims, actions, and demands
arising from my participation.”

This RELEASE OF LIABILITY, AGREEMENT TO HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFY, AND
ASSUMPTION OF RISK Agreement extends to all members of my family, including any minors
accompanying me. If a claim is made by or on behalf of any accompanying person, I or my estate
will indemnify and hold harmless owner of Farr65r Celeste of Solent, broker, captain or crew from
any loss, including reasonable attorney’s fees incurred in defense of such a claim. This
Agreement binds my heirs, legal representatives, and assigns. If any portion of this Agreement is
unenforceable, the remaining portions shall remain in effect.

All applicants are subject to acceptance by owner of Farr65r Celeste of Solent, broker, captain or crew This Agreement is deemed entered into force in Göteborg, Sweden and construed according to Swedish law. In the unlikely event of a legal dispute, it shall exclusively be brought before Göteborgs tingsrätt as first instance.

I have carefully read and understand the terms of this Agreement.

I execute it voluntarily and with full knowledge of its significance.

Rules Aboard
Safety and the well-being are crucial and therefor there are basic rules onboard which we expect
our crew to follow, and to which no tolerance is accepted.

Safety and Security

  • Participate and pay attention to safety instructions and briefings.
  • Learn where all thru-hulls and fire extinguishers are down below
  • Wear life jackets and be clipped onto the boat when on deck
  • Operate the stow and the oven, wearing protective clothing
  • Follow the orders being the sailing direction or execution of tasks such as monitoring fuel level.
  • Be on time for your watch period, ensure proper hand-over.
  • No smoking or drugs onboard.
  • Alcohol is not tolerated while at sea.

Well-being

  • Participate in daily activities; there is no free meal. Wash dishes, clean, and assist in meal preparation and cooking.
  • Empty the berth after free watch, leaving it tidy and ready for the next person.
  • Hang wet gear in the designed area(s).
  • Participate according to skills and confidence in all routines, setting reef, navigate etc.
  • Mind the language; no complaining, no yelling and consider foreign language speakers.
  • When snacking, offer the others and tidy-up afterwards.
